BML Munjal University Announces the Creation of an International Advisory Board

Gurugram (Haryana) [India]July 7 (ANI/NewsSee): BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero initiative, announces an international advisory board to collaborate with some of the best legal minds in the world.
It reflects the law school’s commitment to bringing international best practice to India.
This initiative brings an international dimension to the university which aligns perfectly with BMU’s motto – “From here to the world”. Board members will guide and help achieve BMU’s mission to provide education of the highest international standards. The council is made up of leading legal scholars from several countries, including South Korea, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Europe, Australia, Canada and Brazil. . The school has already set up another advisory council made up of senior lawyers, retired justices of the Supreme Court of India and founding partners from leading Indian law firms.
The council includes members from institutions such as Academia Sinica Taiwan, Humboldt University Berlin, University of Melbourne, Oxford, University College London, Osgoode Hall, National Law School Bangalore, Yale, Seoul Yonsei University and Universidade Federal Do Rio De Janerio. Some of the academics on the board are interested in Indian law.
For example, Prof. Philipp Dann leads several Indo-European collaborations, Prof. Tarunabh Khaitan (Oxford) and Prof. Farrah Ahmed (Melbourne) have made significant contributions to Indian constitutional law, Prof. Dev Ganjee is an eminent specialist in the law of intellectual property, Dr. Rohit De, a prominent legal historian who writes on India. Some board members are the founding editors of the prestigious Indian Law Review.

During the announcement, Professor Pritam Baruah, Dean of the Faculty of Law at BMU, said: “BMU aims to provide higher education of the highest international standards and, bearing this in mind, the Council International Advisory Board was formed to bring together the expertise of an international group of academics as well as our existing Advisory Board of leading legal professionals.We are delighted to work with the distinguished Board of Trustees and learn from their rich experience. We believe that this initiative will also attract faculty with international experience and qualifications to the university.”
Named after the late founding president of Hero Group, BML Munjal University (BMU) is a public-private university founded by the promoters of Hero Group. BMU is supervised by Imperial College London and is committed to creating, preserving and transmitting knowledge and skills of international reference.
The university seeks to transform higher education in India by creating an innovative world-class teaching, learning and research environment in schools spanning the disciplines of law, management, economics, business and engineering. BML Munjal University School of Management was ranked 41st among all management institutions in all India in the 2021 NIRF ranking.
