Guy Fieri, the lovable spiky-haired chef and TV personality, opened his restaurant in downtown Phoenix on Wednesday, June 15.
The restaurant, called Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar, is a collaboration between Food Network star, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Caesars Entertainment, Inc. It is located at Caesars Sportbook’s Chase Field, a renovated 22,300 square foot space that formerly held the Game 7 Grill, next to the stadium.
The restaurant was originally scheduled to open in the spring, but now plans to celebrate its grand opening on Tuesday, June 21, following the June 15 pre-opening, according to a team press release.
As of Wednesday, the restaurant has been open and serving customers, a Diamondbacks spokesperson confirmed.
The new restaurant is Fieri’s first sit-down location in Arizona. But he is no stranger to the Valley. Fieri opened the Flavortown Kitchen delivery-only concept last year. He is also an avid basketball player from Arizona and has been spotted on the court at several Phoenix Suns games with his sons.
Fieri also visited more than two dozen restaurants throughout Arizona for his “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” TV show.
