The global streaming platform Disney+ hasn’t forgotten the romance by going musical with its third Korean-language series, “Soundtrack #1.”
Starring Han So-hee and Park Hyung-sik, the musical drama revolves around two characters who have been best friends for 20 years as their relationship changes romantically.
Taking on the role of songwriter Lee Eun-soo, Han, 27, said his character was a bright and honest person who didn’t know much about love.
“Unlike the characters I played in my previous projects, I am happy to have finally met a character who shares many similarities with me. Through Eun-soo, viewers will learn and know all about unrequited love. “, Han said during an online press conference on Wednesday.
Park, 30, who co-stars in the series as rookie photographer Han Sun-woo, hoped to capture viewers’ hearts with the couple’s touching story.
Although director Kim Hee-won, who tested positive for COVID-19, was unable to attend the press conference, the production company cited Kim’s statement that it was looking to focus more on original soundtracks featuring renowned musicians, including singers Kim Jong-kook, Monday Kiz, Davichi, Lee Hi and Kyuhyun.
The first episode of the series was made available on Wednesday and subsequent episodes are set to release on Wednesday.
The four-part series is available exclusively on Disney+.
