CMR University and KNSU have agreed to establish an Indian Taekwondo Center at CMR University offering a certification course
On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, CMR University, Bengaluru and Korea National Sport University (KNSU) in Seoul, Republic of Korea have embarked on a new journey down the path sports education.
The universities have joined in a joint collaboration to bring about a paradigm shift in the field of sports and sports related aspects such as sports coaching, community sports development and wellness through sports in India in association with KSINDIA (LLB Pvt. Ltd.). KC Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), Former MP, Rajya Sabha, President, CMR Group of Institutions and CMR University along with Dr. Yong-Kyu Ahn, President, KNSU signed the Memorandum of Understanding heralding a new era in the sports education in the country and collaborate with each other in the areas of their core competencies. Mr. Shin Choungho, Director of KNSU Industrial and Academic Cooperation Foundation was also present on the occasion. CMR University and KNSU agreed to establish an Indian Taekwondo Center at CMR University as the first cooperation project. With this initiative, CMR University will become the first university in India to offer a taekwondo certification course.
