SEOUL, KOREA / ACCESSWIRE / May 2, 2022 / LEMONCHAIN Ltd., a healthcare data blockchain company, today signed a business agreement with Konyang University Hospital to develop a blockchain-based healthcare data network. With this agreement, LEMONCHAIN aims to decentralize medical records by creating an open data ecosystem that allows patients and healthcare providers to easily access the information they need when they need it. LEMONCHAIN is also on a mission to make known the management authority that patients need regarding their medical records. Konyang University Hospital, founded in 2000, is the first general hospital in the central region of Korea to establish a differentiated strategy by introducing an automated clinical pathology system and a computerized prescription program.
“By connecting the vast amount of daily medical data to the network node via blockchain, we aim to create a system that allows medical staff to focus on treatment quickly and accurately. Through the LEMONCHAIN ecosystem, patients will be able to receive better medical services and get the care they need when they need it,” said Bae Jang-Ho, Director of the Healthcare Blockchain Network (HBN) project. .
The HBN project developed by these organizations will create a blockchain-based healthcare data network that connects individual healthcare institutions and patients within the LEMONCHAIN ecosystem using nodes. The system will be based on medical big data infrastructures (such as electronic medical records, EMRs, etc.) and is intended to be used as the main blockchain smart healthcare model. In addition, this project will minimize the number of unnecessary direct contacts between patients and providers, thereby reducing risk for all parties involved in diagnosis and treatment.
